Hey ya’ll I hope everyone is holding up during this crazy time! My kids start back to school online this week and go back in person in three weeks! It will be nice to get into a routine again. Speaking about a routine I have been learning how important it is to have a routine and time planned and set aside to work on my blog and influencer posts etc… so that hopefully one day it can be my job!!!
Since this pandemic has started more and more shopping has moved online. People who were unfamiliar before have had to learn and adapt to online shopping. Brands are starting to invest more and more into influencer advertising and most of them have hefty advertising budgets. Now more than ever they need to influencers to advertise their products. It can be uncomfortable to ask to be paid but you deserve it. Remember you are spending time creating content and you are helping the brand make money. This course has helped me gain the confidence to ask for paid partnerships.
So, I promised to update ya’ll after I finished the course and I can’t wait to share with you what I learned!
I shared with ya’ll on my first post that I was learning how to price myself as an influencer and this helped with the confidence to ask for paid partnerships. During the second half of the course I learned about where to find brands that are looking and willing to pay influencers and how to approach them. I learned about how and what to include in a media kit. I just finished mine and have already started sending it off to brands! Best of all @elainerau also gives you 50 brands that are currently looking for ambassadors! That is HUGE!! I have already started going through the lists and reaching out to brands to form partnerships.
When it comes to guidelines and laws I will be honest I was clueless! This is one of the most important things I learned from this course.I learned all about what the FTC is and what their guidelines are. I learned about how Influencers have to pay taxes and how to keep up with all of the financials! Did you know as an influencer you have to pay taxes?
