Camp Themed Birthday

My daughter wanted to have a camp themed Birthday! I love to party plan so I made it happen. Since her Birthday is in the winter most of of her parties have to be indoors but we lucked out this year and the weather was beautiful. Since her Birthday falls close to Christmas I decided to stick with a red and white color scheme so it would go with our Christmas decor.

Here was our party schedule:

4:30-5 Free Play

5-5:30 Dinner and Cake

5:30-6:00 DIY Dream Catchers

6:00-6:30 S’mores

The picture above was our decor for the living room. You can click on any image below for the link to purchase each item!

For free play the kids were able to play in the backyard on the trampoline and swing set! It was nice to be able to have them play outside! My daughter’s favorite place to eat is Chick-Fil-A. So, for dinner we had nuggets, fruit, and chips. I served waters and juice to drink.

I bought the cake decor and had Tom Thumb make the cake! I was so pleased that it turned out amazing and tasted delicious! The cake was white so I also had cupcakes incase any kids only like chocolate!

DIY Dream Catchers

For the party craft we did DIY dream catchers! The kids had so much fun making these!

Supplies Needed:

  • 6 inch Wooden Embroidery hoop
  • A few different yarn choices
  • Washi Tape
  • Feathers
  • Pony Beads
  • Assortment of ribbon

Direction:

Step 1: Wrap the hoop in yarn or wash tape. if you use yarn tie a knot at the beginning to start and wrap it until you get to the end then tie it off.

Step 2: Wrap yarn criss cross in a web pattern all around the hoop. You can either tie each piece if you want different colors or you can wrap the yarn looping it twice after each pass.

Step 3: Tie yarn and ribbon from the bottom! You can get creative with this! You can add beads, feathers, pompoms or decor to the yarn. You can add different ribbons as well. It looks cute to have them different lengths,
