My favorite attractions offered are:

  1. Galveston Railroad Museum
  2. Galveston Water Adventures- Dolphin Sightseeing Tour
  3. Moody Mansion
  4. Bryan Museum

The price for 1 adult to do all of these activities would be $35.21! (What a deal!) One Child’s pass for the activities above would be $16.61!

Pleasure Pier

Pleasure Pier is a theme park over the ocean and one of my kids favorite activities in Galveston! You won’t want to miss this on your vacation! They have a water ride, big and small swings, a roller coaster, carnival games, ferris wheel and so much more!

Beach

Let’s be honest you aren’t going to Galveston for the beautiful water!!! But since it’s only about 4.5 hours from the DFW area it’s the closet beach we have! No matter what I love to hear the sound of the waves. I always enjoy laying out on the beach and my kids always have fun boogie boarding and building sand castles. You can also find lots of shells! Grab yourself a few beach chairs, boogie boards, sand toys and a cooler packed with drinks and you are sure to have a great time!!! We always drive down the beach away from the crowded areas and can usually find a part that is nice and quiet!

Walk The Strand & Visit La King's Confectionery

The Strand has lots of fun shops and restaurants. Enjoy the afternoon browsing the shops, eating at Yaga’s Cafe, and top it off by having dessert at La King’s. This candy store is a throwback to the 1920’s with giant candy counter and ice cream parlor.  It’s also lots of fun to go when they are making their own taffy in house. When they finish making it they throw it out to the audience!

Visit Galveston Island Brewing

This brewery has some of the best beers. We literally always stock up to bring them home since you can’t get them outside of the Galveston and Houston area! Our favorites are the Tiki Wheat and Coconut Hefen-A. This place is awesome. They have a tap room but they also have an outdoor space including picnic tables and a playscape for the kids. So, we love to pick up lunch and go hang out here for a few hours.

Moody Gardens

Our favorite attractions at Moody Gardens are the Aquarium and the Rainforest Pyramid. These are definitely worth seeing.

Moody Mansion & Bishop's Palace

Both of these are cool to see.

Train Museum

My girls love the train museum. You get to walk through all of the train cars which is pretty cool and the museum.

Murdochs

The Murdochs is just a souvenir type store that looks over the water. They do sale beer that you can buy. We love to sit on the balcony they have between the stores and look out over the ocean. My kids always love to see the hermit crabs that they sale and they love looking though the high powered binoculars they have on the deck. You can look out and see huge ships and boats!
